Holiday Season is the Hardest Time

Imagine opening the door of your home to see an officer or official standing there, without a smile, greeting you, lost for words at first, notifying you of a fallen family member. Or maybe getting a phone call from the fire department chief, telling you a love one is missing, that in the process of saving lives in a natural disaster their own lives were taken. Can you imagine being the recipient of that message and having to go tell your loved ones of such news?

The Holiday Season is the perfect time to show our appreciation to out fallen heroes and their families. Instead of letting them suffer with sadness, let’s give them something positive to remember. Let’s help them remember all the good times, instead of dwelling on the loss. Let us show them our appreciation just when they need it the most. This is when all the wives, husbands, and children of our heroes will remember and miss their loved ones the most. We need to unite and show them our appreciation for their sacrifices.

This effort is not about politics or politicians; it’s about American’s supporting our troops. We need to unite as a body of the human race and put our political differences aside in our efforts to heal our nation. I ask you to unite for the greater good of everyone.

I truly believe this is a way for us, the People of the United States of America, to unite as a nation and start healing our society.
